Alaire Racicot (formerly Alaire Bowen), is a Washington state native who graduated from Brigham Young University – Idaho with a Bachelor’s Degree in illustration, now living in Canada with her ultra-cute husband, Toben. As an avid gamer, the Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy series’ were (and still are) some of her biggest inspirations for not only her art, but her love for fantasy and mythology. Seriously, she will not shut up about it.
Currently, she’s gone freelance and has worked on several pitches and titles for clients! More than anything, she just wants to create stories she enjoys, and hope others will enjoy them too.
Alaire loves french fries, games, Fullmetal Alchemist, and fat animals.
Writer, Letterer, Graphic Designer
A real hum-dinger, this one. Born in Saskatchewan, Canada, Toben was a creative from the get-go. A former drummer of the punk band In Tuesday’s Wake, and a big fan of comics and writing. After serving a mission in the Dominican Republic, eventually his path led to Brigham Young University – Idaho where he worked towards law school.
Somehow, things started to change when Toben and Alaire started making comics together. He since graduated with a bachelor’s degree in creative writing, and has been writing more comics since, while doing freelance lettering, graphic and logo design, and book production on the side. Toben is a big Studio Ghibli fan, still watches Yu-Gi-Oh! on Saturday mornings, and never gets tired of Cowboy Bebop.
